Deco Mesh Angel Tutorial Less than $2!! Dollar Tree DIY | Hip ‘n Creative

deco mesh angel tutorial

Hey friends I hope you’re all having a wonderful day.  Today is a crazy hectic day at Casa De HNC!  Not only are 2 of my 3 girls home from school this week, (Thanksgiving holiday) I am also hosting Thanksgiving at my home, so I’m doing a lot of prep work these next few days.  I did manage to squeeze in some time between chores to get some crafting done.  One of those crafts was this awesome Deco Mesh Angel.  I love how it came out and best of all it only cost me less than $2.00 total!  Cheap and Easy just how I like it!

For this project you will need:

  • Deco Mesh Wreath (I got mine at the Dollar Tree)
  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Scissors or Wire Cutter
  • Ruler
  • Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Ornament of your choice
  • Ribbon of your choice

So the first things I did was cut my mesh.  Since the deco mesh I used is 6″ high and 5 yards long, I cut my mesh down 12 inches each having a total of 12 pieces.  Next I proceeded to lightly tug at the opposite corners of the mesh until I had all 12 mesh pieces done.   I then wrapped the pipe cleaner as tightly as I could around the center of all 12 mesh pieces.

I then pulled down half (6) of the deco mesh to form an angel dress and tied it with another pipe cleaner about 1″ from the original tied piece.  Trim off the excess pipe cleaner piece only from your second pipe cleaner.  Next I grabbed my ornament and hot glued it to the top of the mesh to create the head piece.  Once the head was dried, I then added some ribbon to the front of the angel with some hot glue and that’s it!.  Now if this tutorial was a bit confusing I also made another video explaining what I did.
