Chic Cupcake Carriers

For a while now I’ve noticed the Push Pop containers I had used for my daughter’s birthday become very popular.   Although they are new to my Etsy shop, it’s been over a year in which I was aware of the containers and have seen the push pop containers in various blogs.  Any where from how to use them to what to fill them with: cupcakes, muffins, candies etc.  This has inspired me to create a beautiful Chic Cupcake Carrier ™ that you can use for the regular sized cupcakes as well as the large cupcakes.

I’m so excited to introduce my NEW Chic Cupcake Carrier ™ at my Etsy Shop and Webstore.  An Exclusive design by yours truly!  If you order my Chic Cupcake Carriers please send me pics of the creative ways you use them.  Who knows I may show your pics on my blog!  😀

Easter Fun

I know that Easter has passed but I wanted to share with you all the fun things that my girls and I did over last week.  First up is our window.  We have a large picture window, which I LOVE and have so much fun decorating! The girls and I used cardstock paper for the grass and last years Easter Peeps, bucket and plastic eggs for decoration.  My older two girls made the cut outs and I used my baby’s birthday banner that I saved from her third birthday. (Sorry for the glare, since my camera is not working to well, my hubby was nice enough to take these pics with his cell phone.  But the sun was very bright that day! Hence the glare 😀 )

In all the commotion of getting the house ready for our Easter Dinner.  I completely forgot that my girls were to bring in gifts for their classmates for Easter the next day.  So we quickly baked up some cupcakes and I had some candy grass, robin’s eggs and candy bunnies I was saving for Easter Dinner and made the 1st Graders some bunny patches with eggs!

It’s was pretty cool.  My Nena decorated the cupcakes all on her own.  How proud she was of her work!  I was too.  My eldest girl made a batch of rainbow topped cupcakes with Colored sugar.  They were both very creative and festive and the cupcakes matched their personality!  By the end of the night we all smelled of cupcakes and icing! 🙂

For Sunday’s dinner we had gotten some paper products and utensils from Wal-Mart as well as Party City.  My hubby and the girls out did themselves with a lovely table setting. I was busy cooking dinner and cleaning tidying the house up for company.  We had 22 people at our home!  We had a blast, it was so much fun and I cannot wait to do it again! ~

Push Pop Cupcakes Tutorial

For my daughter’s birthday I decided to make Push Pop Cupcakes.  At the time that I made them, I hadn’t realized how popular they were becoming.  Especially the day of my daughter’s birthday party, they were a HUGE hit!  I couldn’t believe how quickly they went.  I had made just enough for the kids to each enjoy.  I also baked a delicious cake for the grown ups and birthday girl (chocolate cake with chocolate icing and crushed Oreos YUM)!  What I didn’t anticipate was how even some of the grown ups would love the push pop containers!  It was very easy to make so I decided to show you all how to make your own push pop cupcakes.

Materials needed:

Mini Cupcake Pan or Mini Cupcakes
Push Pop Container
Pipe Bags (or freezer bags, just snip a corner for piping)
Cake Mix (whatever you like)
Frosting (any kind you prefer)
Fixings (chocolate cookie crumbs, sprinkles, mousse etc)

Here is how I make my Push Up Cupcakes:

Ok, I’m not a baker and usually don’t have time  to make any of my favorite cakes.  I usually buy a box of my favorite cake mix and follow the baking directions.  Once they are cooled, you can punch out circles to fit the Push Up Containers (about 3″) .  Or if you prefer, you can bake mini cupcakes instead and you still get the same effect.  Just make sure to remove the cupcake liners.  You don’t want kids eating the paper 😀

Next you stack the cake and frosting like your building a sandwich.  Start with a piece of cake and end with frosting on top.

You can decorate your Push Pop Cupcake anyway you like!  Finding a way to display these is a little tricky.  I used a styrofoam disc (from my local craft store) wrapped the disc with some scrap ribbon using double-sided tape and covered with shredded paper!

If you’re interested in creating your own Push Pop Cupcakes, you can get the containers at my Etsy Shop or webstore.  Stop on by a check out all of the new and cool birthday party ideas I offer!

Well that’s it, I hope you enjoyed it!  If you decide to make a Push Pop cupcake please send me pics of your creations, I would love to feature some of my readers work on my blog!  Thanks for stopping by the blog today!~
