Easy and Inexpensive Windowsill Makeover | Dollar Tree DIY
I have an old kitchen. I think it was last updated in the 1980s. I have no true counter space, my cabinets are dingy- no matter how much I clean it, and my windowsill is a stained mess! Every time I’d go into my kitchen I would wish to change something about it but since we’re on a budget, a kitchen remodel will not be getting done any time soon.
I had to do something! Since I had recently gone to the Dollar Tree I had some shelf liner. So I got to work adding the liner to the windowsill. I have to say it was super duper easy and I love how beautiful my window looks now. The best part is that my window looks great, didn’t cost me a fortune and if I decide in the future to remove the liner, all I have to do is peel it off. I love it!
Material Needed for this Project:
- Shelf Liner (I got mine from the Dollar Tree)
- Ruler
- Scissors or Exacto Knife
First thing I did was clean and clear my windowsill. Then I used my ruler and measured my window, using the scissors (or exacto knife) I cut my shelf liner according to my measurements. I did cut the liner about a half inch larger then the measurement, just in case I made a mistake. Lastly I rubbed the liner down on the sill, making sure to rub out any air bubbles. And that’s it! Another inexpensive and easy DIY you can do to improve your home.
