Our Family Halloween Tradition
Our family is big on tradition. We have them for big Holiday events like Christmas and New Years and for other important days like birthdays and our anniversary. One of the things we do on Halloween Day is to watch Halloween Movies.
One of our Favorite movies to watch Hocus Pocus “I put a spell on you….” :
Another fun movie that will be added to our movie watching tradition is Hotel Transylvania. My youngest loves this movie and I think it’s cute 😉 “I do not go blah blah blah! -Dracula” lol
Halloween wouldn’t be the same without Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas:
And yes, It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown makes his annual appearance as well.
After watching our movies, we have some fun with Halloween themed music, crafts and games. Music we listen to:
Thriller – Michael Jackson
Monster Mash – Boby “Boris” Pickett
Nightmare on My Street – DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince
The Time Warp – Rocky Horror Picture Show
Ghost Buster – Ray Parket Jr.
We even munch on some Halloween named goodies for lunch ie: Brains and Guts (spaghetti & meatballs). This year I’m thinking of trying something different: Mummy Hot Dogs, Monster Munch Pizza and Cheese Cresent Ghost… It looks to cute!
Some fun crafts for the kids… Leaf Ghosts, Oogie Boogie and Jack Skellington . 🙂
Then we get the kids ready and were off to trick or treat. After our outing, we head back home so the kids can relax. We end the night with Tan and I watching classic movies ’til we pass out while the kids go to bed. What about you? Do you have a Halloween Tradition you’d like to share?
