What to do When Stressed or Upset

Have you ever had a day where you are so stressed out and angry you can’t think straight?  Well folks today is that day for me.  I feel like I’m being pulled in every direction and no matter what decisions I make, it’s the wrong one.  I never pretended to have a perfect life and yes there are days I want to pull my hair out but when I feel stressed I usually try to change my mood (or the situation).  I don’t like it when things go wrong but if I don’t do something about it then I feel like I’m a victim of my own circumstance.  One of the things I do to reduce my stress or anger is craft.  I pick a project to immerse myself in and just let my creativity flow.  If by chance that’s the reason I feel stressed then I’ll play some loud music and clean until I feel better.  It doesn’t always work mind you but at least it’s a better option than being angry all day.  Music is a great motivator for me and can enhance my mood.  I try to focus on music that will help me feel better and it usually does.   This time I decided to share what I’m thankful for rather than what I’m angry about.  So I made a quick list of things that make me smile (in no particular order)


Laughing so hard it hurts
Reading a good book
Baking cookies and giving them away to loved ones
My kids
My Husband (he’s a keeper for sure)
Working Out (very helpful when stressed) but I just started 😉
Being silly
Watching a good movie
Ice Cream
My Pups
Singing very loud (and off key)

These are just some of the things that help me feel better. What about you what do you do when angry or stressed?
