HOW TO REWIRE LIGHTING w/ VIDEO

So we’ve been on the fence on what to do to our ceiling. We wanted to add wood planks to give it a rustic look but we also wanted to finish the porch within our budget and as quickly as possible. To be honest this was supposed to be a quick project that should’ve taken us about a week or so to complete but there have been many hiccups which forced us to put this project on hold a few times.

Now we are back in full swing and have accomplished a lot and we are slowly coming to the end of this project. We have a few things to finish then it’s on to another project sometime in the future. To catch you up on what has happened as well as what’s next I thought to give you a small break down:

Previously we had hired a contractor to renovate our roof. If you remember in this post here, I mentioned my hubby taking down our awning. So we were expecting the GC to arrive later in that month but luckily for us he was able to come sooner, unlucky was the fact that we were in middle of the back porch demo which was at the same time as our middle child graduation from High School and my youngest having end of the year recitals, and both attending school events.

We did manage to rewire our patio lights and add new light switches to our patio and created a video tutorial if you’d like to see what we did you can check it out here:

Now that that project is completed we are now focusing on adding drywall, a ceiling fan and maybe new flooring and cleaning up.

This has been quit a challenge for us since we really hoped to have this done by now. I have learned a lot with this project, one of that is patience! I’m so happy to at least enjoy the front porch and all the beautiful weather we’re having.
