BATHROOM MAKEOVER MOODBOARD

When my husband and I first bought our house, we had a huge list of renovation and facelift projects we wanted to do to the house. We knew it needed a few updates and luckily we were ready and willing to take on that challenge!

If you’ve been following along for some time, then you are aware that we completely gutted and renovated our kitchen. We love how it turned out and although it took longer than anticipated, we couldn’t be happier.

Next on our to do list is our main bathroom. This bathroom is the only full bath in the house (we have 2 additional half baths). This bathroom is a bit outdated and not to our liking so we’re going to give it a nice makeover. And let me tell you I am SUPER excited!!

Just like our kitchen reno project I was determined to flip our bathroom updating everything in it for as little as possible. We are going to be replacing the vanity, updating floors, painting walls, adding extra storage and new lighting as well as all new hardware. I am absolutely looking forward to this update and am determined to do it all within budget.

Here’s the design I have planned for this space:

How I plan on saving as much money as possible. One of the biggest purchases for us is the vanity. Unfortunately for us the vanity we already have is not in the best condition and is very dated as shown below.

So we’ll be removing the entire unit (the mirror, wall and sink are all attached- I think that has to do with style back in the 1950s) and I’ll be replacing it with a new vanity, sink and mirror.

How we plan on saving money is by using left over paint from the kitchen, I may stencil a new floor or maybe invest in peel in stick tiles. I’m also going to paint the pink tile with this white tub and tile mix I purchased for a previous project that I never used. We are also creating a custom built-in for additional storage, as well as DIYing shelves and decor. Other decor items will be borrowed from different parts of our home.

So that’s it, the current progress of our laundry room. Besides blogging about our project, I’ll also be sharing some behind the scene photos over on my Instagram as well as YouTube. So if you haven’t done so yet, head on over and give me a follow .

Thank you so much for stopping! Until next time have a great day!
