Looking for an easy inexpensive way to clean your home? Then I got you covered. I have tried many hacks and found some that work and others that do not work so well. Here I’m sharing the top 5 go to for cleaning your home.
1. Clean your sponges
One of the best ways to prevent germs from spreading is by disinfecting your sponges regularly. You can place your damp sponge in the microwave for 3 minutes to kill off germs or throw them in the dishwasher (top rack). This will give your sponge a longer shelf life before replacing them. If you do replace them I recommend these reusable dish sponges
2. Lemon, Salt & Dish Soap
Whenever I have to clean my cutting boards, I use a lemon with some salt to scrub away to built in bacteria from cutting meats. Just pour some salt and dish soap (I use this one) and scrub with half a lemon. Rinse and you’re done!
3. Use Rubbing Alcohol on Glass Surfaces
Whenever I clean any glass surface I use some rubbing alcohol that is 70 proof. Anything more than that the alcolhol dries to quickly. Just use a spray bottle with a microfiber cleaning cloth and wipe.
4. Use Pumice Stones on Oven
I absolutely hate when I get burnt on gunk at the bottom of my oven. One of the best ways for me to remove all that burnt on stain is with a damp pumice stone. It absolutely works and in a matter of minutes I was able to remove all the burnt gunk. I definitely recommend this to anyone because it truly works! Just make sure the pumice stone is wet to keep from scratching your surface.
5. Steam Cleaning
I absolutely love my steam cleaner. I use it for my bathroom, stove top, windowsill etc. It makes cleaning a breeze and cuts down on my cleaning time.
