OUR BACK PATIO MAKEOVER on a BUDGET

We are finally working on our Back Patio Makeover and I am so stoked about it! We’ve been talking about making changes for a few years now but we had other pressing issues to work on (like our kitchen renovation project) and saving money for a new roof (more on that later).

We’re planning on adding some new recessed lighting, ceiling fans, painting the windows and possibly new flooring as well. I will be documenting our progress over on Instagram, so if you haven’t done so yet make sure to follow 😉

OUR PROGRESS SO FAR..

My wonderful husband and I have currently torn down the ceiling. We tried our best not to make too much of a mess which was not easy. To make the tear down easier, we took our time and tore down the ceiling and cleaned up one section at a time, we also made a pile and once the pile was full we stopped the tear down and did some clean up. This helped out a lot. While my husband did most of the tear down, I was clean up. We basically cleaned up any messes we made while making said mess lol. We also had to make sure to remove all the nails left behind on the ceiling. A tedious task but we got it done, it really gave my arms a workout! Below are some progress pics:

Our next step is to head over to Home Depot or Lowes to find some ceiling fans, lighting, drywall and all the fixins to finish up the patio. You should definitely head on over to my Instagram for updates and progresses. I’ll also be sharing a youtube video of our makeover soon so make sure to follow me there as well.
